So you need a larger tent for your camping group. As a tent designed for up to six people, the REI Base Camp 6 Tent is a perfect tent for a small group of adults or two adults and several children. But I always like to say a tent is actually designed to confortably accommodate less people than the specs suggest, so I would say up to three adults with dry gear, or up to two adults and three children.

It may seem like much for one person but it’s really very convenient if you plan to stay at one location for several days. And let me tell you that larger tents like this are exposed to a lot of abuse, so if you intend to use your tent more than four or five times a year and you intend to use it in harsh weather like wind, rain and mud, don’t settle for a cheaper tent.
